In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 showed a gain of 0.9% during morning trading. Notable performers included Viaplay Group Series B, which rose by 5.6%, and Ambu Series B, which saw a 5% increase. On the other hand, Burberry Group experienced a significant drop of 9.5%, and Grifols lost 6.1%. The FTSE 100 also added 0.9% to its value. Additionally, France's CAC 40 rose by 0.8%, and Germany's DAX climbed by 1%.
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index saw a slight decline of 0.1%, resting at 96.78.
In the commodities market, Brent crude oil rose by 2.4% to reach $79.30 per barrel, while WTI crude oil increased by 2.6% to $73.88 per barrel.
Government bond yields in both Germany and the United States had minimal movement. The German 10-year Bund yield fell by 1 basis point to 0.206%, while the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury remained flat at 3.97%. As a general rule, bond prices and yields have an inverse relationship.
Asian markets displayed mixed results, with Japan's Nikkei 225 index gaining 1.5%, whereas Hong Kong's Hang Seng declined by 0.4%. China's benchmark Shanghai Composite also saw a slight decline of 0.2%.
